Sairano

Welcome to Sairano Station!

Hello everyone, welcome to Sairano Station! This small railway station is located on the Pavia-Alessandria railway line and serves the hamlet of Sairano, which is part of the municipality of Zinasco. Let's take a look at some curiosities about the history of this stop.

Station history

Sairano Station was activated in 1996, partially replacing the old Sairano-Zinasco stop. The new stop was built a few hundred meters further north, to be closer to the town center of Sairano. Despite being a recent stop, it does not have a passenger building and is composed only of a running track and platforms.

Some notes about Sairano

Despite being a small and unpretentious stop, Sairano has its own charm. Its position surrounded by the Pavia countryside makes it a perfect place for a relaxing walk or for a day trip. Moreover, like all the localities in the area, it offers some gastronomic specialties not to be missed, such as the "risotto alla certosina" or the "torta sbrisolona".
