Hello everyone! Today I will talk to you about Volta Mantovana, a town in Lombardy with a population of around 7,186 inhabitants. It is located about 15 kilometers from Lake Garda and is a place that borders three provinces, namely Mantova, Brescia and Verona.

Volta Mantovana has a territory of approximately 50.31 square kilometers that belongs to the sub-hilly area at the foot of the hills that border Lake Garda. The town hall is located at an altitude of 91 meters above sea level. The municipality borders Monzambano to the north, Valeggio sul Mincio to the east, Goito and Brescia to the south, and Cavriana and Guidizzolo to the west. In addition, the municipality belongs to the third seismic zone (medium-low seismicity) according to the seismic classification.
Volta Mantovana enjoys a temperate climate with a continental climate, with few rains and foggy days. Summers are hot and sultry, with July and August months where temperatures can rise above 35º and with thunderstorm precipitation. Springs and autumns are generally rainy, with a milder and more humid climate. The Climate Classification reports zone E.
Origins of the Name and History
The name Volta comes from ''volvita'', referring to the morainic hills of the village. The coat of arms of the municipality of Volta Mantovana was granted by decree of the President of the Republic on October 19, 1962.

In Volta Mantovana, there is so much to see! Among the places of interest, there are the Gonzaga-Guerrieri Palace of the 15th century, the Castle of Volta Mantovana, the church of Santa Maria Maddalena and the church of Madonna di Mezzacampagna in Cereta.

Hamlets
The municipality of Volta Mantovana has four hamlets: Cereta, Castelgrimaldo, Foresto, and Ferri-Falzoni. Ferri-Falzoni is made up of two distinct localities: Falzoni and Ferri.
Falzoni
Falzoni is a small locality with only 100 inhabitants, called ''Falsù'' in the local dialect.
Ferri
Ferri, called "I Ferri" in slang and "Férr" in the local dialect, is a locality located on the banks of the Mincio at the height of the village of Pozzolo (Marmirolo). It is close to it as the crow flies, but separated by the river. The hamlet is about a kilometer away from another hamlet in the municipality of Volta Mantovana, the Falzoni, and about six kilometers from Goito. Composed of about a hundred inhabitants, thanks to the efforts of some residents, Ferri has restored the small village festival, of which there were testimonies since the Second World War.
