In the village, the plain called "centoia", located in the locality of Fusine, becomes icy for 4 months during the winter, due to lack of sun. History
Stadolina is a hamlet of Vione, located southwest of the village. At the beginning of the century it was divided into two districts, of which the lower one was located along the valley road. The name Stadolina has several theories regarding its origin, including deriving from the Latin word "Aestas", which means summer, or from "stabulina", which means house.
Monuments and places of interest
The churches of Stadolina are the Church of S. Giacomo of the seventeenth century, whose soasa is the work of G.B. Ramus, with a bell tower that houses 5 bells cast by the Fonderia Francesco D'adda and Figli di Crema in 1933. Furthermore, along the road that leads to Val Paghera, there is a large rock with the imprint of a stick and a shoe, known as the rock of San Cristoforo. Legend has it that the imprint was left by San Cristoforo during his passage.
