History
The history of Alpo dates back to the time of the Scaligeri domination, when the town was called San Zuane in Campagna. In 1362, Lord Niccolò Dell'Alpo donated his lands to the local church and the town was renamed Alpo. It was then a feud of the Dal Verme family, who dismantled it during the Venetian era. With the arrival of the Republic of Venice in 1405, Alpo underwent a great transformation. This rule lasted 400 years, followed by that of Napoleon Bonaparte and then by the Austrian one, until in 1866, with the Third War of Italian Independence, it joined the Kingdom of Italy.

The neoclassical-style construction was begun in 1750 and completed in 1772.
