The history of Vicolungo

The history of Vicolungo has ancient roots. During the Roman Civilization, the locality was crossed by the Via delle Gallie, which connected the Po Valley to Gallia. This consular road was built by Augustus and represented an important connection between Italy and Europe. The passage of the Via delle Gallie contributed to the development of the territory of Vicolungo, which over the years saw the birth of numerous monuments and historic buildings.
