Vervio

Welcome to Vervio, a small village in Valtellina

If you are looking for a peaceful place surrounded by nature, Vervio is the perfect place for you. This municipality of only 206 inhabitants is located 8 km from Tirano, along the Adda river and at the foot of Mount Masuccio, making it an ideal starting point for hiking enthusiasts.

History of the village

Vervio has ancient origins dating back to the year 1000. In the past, it was a fiefdom of the Venosta family and later followed the political events of the Mazzo di Valtellina parish. Although it is a predominantly rural village, there are some remains of noble residences that belonged to the Lavizzari family.
