The name Quinto derives from the distance of 5 miles from the center of Verona, i.e. 7.5 km. The village is located on a hill at 115 meters above sea level, surrounded by forests, vineyards and olive groves. It borders the villages of Marzana, Poiano, Santa Maria in Stelle and Novaglie.
In the past, Quinto was an autonomous municipality with the name of Quinto di Valpantena, but in 1927 it was suppressed and aggregated to the municipality of Verona.
