History
The origins of Venetico are uncertain, with some theories hypothesizing the presence of Venetici in the area. In 36 BC, the Battle of Nauloco was fought near Venetico Marina between the fleet of Sextus Pompey and that of Augustus. In the Middle Ages, the village was made up of a tavern and four families of peasants who cultivated the land. In 1296, the feud passed through different owners until it reached Filippo Arduino in 1408.
