Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about Vazzola, a beautiful municipality in the province of Treviso in Veneto, where 6,787 people live. The name of the town derives from Latin "labes", which means "ruin" or "landslide", but don't be frightened, because Vazzola is a place full of beauties and treasures to discover!

Religious architecture
If you love art and architecture, you cannot miss the Church of San Giovanni Battista, built in the 1400s and consecrated in 1490, which contains the fresco "San Nicola di Bari tra San Girolamo e Santa Caterina di Alessandria" by Francesco Beccaruzzi and the apse altarpiece, entitled "La predica del Battista", attributed to Giovanni Antonio Fumiani. But it's not the only interesting church in Vazzola! I also recommend visiting the Church of San Martino in Visnà, rebuilt for the fourth time in 1921, after the destructions of the First World War. Here you can admire the altarpiece "Madonna del Rosario", created by the Venetian painter Antonio Arrigoni and the incredible "wooden choir" with twelve panels, the work of the marvelous carver Antonio Pigatti from Colle Umberto. And if you are in the area, don't miss the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi in Tezze di Piave, rebuilt in the early 1920s according to the project of Luigi Candiani.
