Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about Vallo Torinese, a municipality of 774 inhabitants located in the metropolitan city of Turin, in Piedmont.
Physical geography
Vallo Torinese is located in Val Ceronda and is surrounded by mountains, including Monte Druina and Monte Corno delle Alpi Graie. The municipal territory also includes the Vallone del Rio Tronta, a left tributary of the Ceronda stream. The town center is located at 508 m above sea level just south of the Rio Tronta, while the hamlets of Gaiera and Spagna are located at 500 m above sea level and 459 m above sea level, respectively.
History
The history of Vallo Torinese is linked to the Visconti di Baratonia family. The municipality was merged with Fiano in 1927 and only obtained autonomy over time.
