Valle Mosso

Hello friends, today I want to talk to you about Trivero, a small town of 5,508 inhabitants in the province of Biella, in Piedmont. The town is located in the district of Ronco and is the seat of the municipality, which also includes the former municipalities of Mosso, Soprana, and Valle Mosso.

History

Trivero has a very ancient history. In the Middle Ages, it was under the control of the archbishops of Vercelli. In the 14th century, the area was involved in clashes between the followers of Fra Dolcino and the episcopal and feudal troops, who eventually defeated him. Trivero was acquired by the House of Savoy in 1379 and in 1798, during the Napoleonic Wars, the tree of liberty was erected there. But its recent history has been marked by the union with the municipalities of Mosso, Soprana, and Valle Mosso, which took place on January 1, 2019, and led to the formation of the new municipality of Valdilana.

Symbols

The coat of arms of the municipality of Trivero was granted by decree of the President of the Republic on October 6, 1953.
