Valfabbrica
ciaoValfabbrica: a little Umbrian gem
Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk to you about a beautiful Umbrian town, Valfabbrica, located halfway between Perugia, Assisi, Gualdo Tadino and Gubbio. With its 3194 inhabitants, this village nestled in the valley on the left bank of the Chiascio river will give you breathtaking landscapes and an experience of relaxation and tranquility.
Physical geography
The average altitude of Valfabbrica is 289 meters above sea level, while the maximum altitude is 826 meters above sea level and the minimum is 227 meters above sea level. The location of the town in the valley means that you can enjoy the shade of the surrounding mountains and the coolness of the river, making the climate very pleasant even during the summer.
Hydrography
The Chiascio river is certainly the most important element of the town's hydrography, but it is not the only one. Among its tributaries there are the Rio Grande and the Rio della Bionda, while within the municipal territory there is also an artificial lake generated by a dam of the same name.
Climate
Valfabbrica's climate is classified as zone D, with 2084 GR/G. Thanks to the particular geological conformation of the territory, in the area of the Forre del Rio Grande a natural habitat has been created suitable to host both typical Mediterranean plants and faunal species unknown in these territories such as herons.
History
The city of Valfabbrica does not have many famous historical events to tell, but it has its own charm. We are always looking for hidden gems, and this Umbrian municipality is certainly one of these jewels.
Twinning
There are currently no twinning agreements in place.
Sport
Football is not missing in the municipality of Valfabbrica, with the main football team being the A.S.D. Valfabbrica 1916 which plays in the Umbria C First Category group and whose social colors are blue and red. The team was founded in 1916 and is still a sports pillar of the city.
