Among the species of fish, we can find the trouts (rainbow and salmon), the gobi/perch, and the royal perch.

Valbrona's history dates back to the time of the Celts, an era of which there are still testimonies in the village's woods. Over the years, the town has become a Roman settlement. In 59 BC, Julius Caesar founded some colonies throughout the Larian Triangle territory, considered a strategic area for the defense of Italy. Over the years, there have been findings of Roman-era tombs.
