Tronzano Lago Maggiore

Tronzano Lago Maggiore: a small town overlooking the lake

Hello everyone! Today I will talk to you about a small Lombard town overlooking Lake Maggiore: Tronzano Lago Maggiore, also known as "Trunsciàn" in the Varesotto dialect. The village, with its 206 inhabitants, is located in the province of Varese and is an ideal place for those seeking tranquillity and relaxation.

Origins of the name

The municipality of Tronzano Lago Maggiore has had various names over the years. In 1863, for example, it was called Bassano di Tronzano, while only in November of the same year was the current name chosen. The "Lago Maggiore" specification identifies its geographical position.
