The name Trevenzuolo derives from the personal Latin name Trebentius or Terventius.

History

Trevenzuolo has a Roman history that dates back to the Bronze Age, as evidenced by important artifacts such as a small bronze statue now at the British Museum in London.

In the Middle Ages, the town had close ties to the monasteries of San Zeno and San Giorgio in Braida, whose property eventually passed to the Lords of Scaligeri.

The main place of interest in Trevenzuolo is the Santa Maria Maddalena Church, built in the 19th century on the site of the previous 15th-century parish church.
