Hello friends, today we will talk about Treppo Carnico, a delightful village inhabited by 555 people in the province of Udine, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Until December 31, 2018, Treppo Carnico was an autonomous municipality with other fractions, but is now packaged together with other localities to form the municipality of Treppo Ligosullo, as established by Regional Law No. 47 of December 28, 2017.

Treppo Carnico is located in the mountainous region of Carnia, at an altitude of 671 meters, surrounded by the mountains Paularo, Dimon and Tersadia.

History

The Municipality of Treppo Carnico has a coat of arms granted in 1953. One of the most important monuments in the city is the church of Sant'Agnese, located in the center of the city at a crossroads of roads leading to the square where the Monument to the Fallen of all Wars is located. It is a religious place where you can admire splendid frescoes on the walls.
