Trenzano

The Story of Trenzana

Hi everyone! Today we're talking about Trenzana, a canal in the western Lower Brescian plains that has its roots in the Trenzana-Travagliata canal built in 1417.

The Route

Trenzana flows southward towards Trenzano, where it feeds several irrigation canals that water the municipality's fields. Near the hamlet, the canal diverts its waters to the Campagna and Berlinga canals. Further south is the Cogeme waste disposal site, where a water divider separates the canal's waters from those of the Vaso Giappone and Vaso Torre canals. The canal ends just a little further south, where the third and last water divider separates the waters between the Vaso Paglie, which heads west, and the Vaso Molinazzo, which continues south and crosses the Baioncella di Lograto canal at Convento.
