Vigolo Baselga

Welcome to Vigolo Baselga

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about a place that may not be very well-known, but definitely deserves a visit: Vigolo Baselga, a hamlet in the municipality of Trento, located in the beautiful Valley of the Lakes.

Physical geography

Despite its small size, the village boasts a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley and the impressive Lake Terlago. If you love nature, here you will find many trails for hiking and trekking, offering spectacular panoramas.

History

Vigolo Baselga, like many other areas of Trentino, has a rich history of events and changes of ownership. Until 1968, it was an autonomous municipality, but then it was merged into the municipality of Terlago until 1947, and finally into the municipality of Trento.

Monuments and places of interest

Despite its small size, you can visit the beautiful church of San Leonardo, located right in the center of the village. The church offers visitors a calm and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for meditation or simply for resting.

Notes

If you decide to take a walk in this village, keep in mind that there are only 263 inhabitants here, so don't expect a large number of restaurants and bars. However, if you are looking for a quiet place immersed in nature, this is the perfect place for you.

Other projects

If you like to discover lesser-known hamlets and areas, I also recommend visiting the other hamlets of the Decentralized Municipal District number 3 of Monte Bondone in Trento, such as Baselga del Bondone, Cadine, Candriai, Norge, and Sopramonte. Each of these areas has its own history and unique characteristics.

In conclusion, if you decide to visit Vigolo Baselga, be prepared to immerse yourself in nature and tranquility. Don't expect great attractions or a bustling nightlife, but enjoy the essence of a small mountain village with a fascinating history!
