Romprezzagno, also known as Rumperzagn or Lumparzagn, had a history of autonomy as a municipality until 1867. The name "Rumperzagn" derives from the Celtic root "rump" meaning hill and was later Italianized to Romprezzagno. Throughout its history, Romprezzagno has undergone several changes of domination, first coming under the control of Cremona and then Milan. Today, this small hamlet still represents a hidden treasure within the territory of the province of Cremona.
