Ton has been a municipality since the Middle Ages, first mentioned as ''Tunno'' in a document dated 1174, where it was listed among the possessions of the Regular Canons of San Michele all'Adige monastery. The Assumption parish church is located in Vigo di Ton and was mentioned in 1242; in 1549, the master Aluixo de Frisono Taiapreda rebuilt it in Gothic style, and in 1719, the architect from Como Bernardo Tacchi enlarged it, giving it a late-Baroque appearance. Inside the church, there are works such as the altar painting of S. Antonio by Francesco Guardi and the lunettes by Gian Antonio Guardi. Moreover, the lateral chapel hosts the tomb of Count Leopoldo Thun and Matteo's wife, Leopoldina Thurn Valsassina.

The hamlet of Toss, at 476 meters above sea level, stands on an apron plain cultivated with orchards. The church of S. Nicolò, dating back to 1584, was rebuilt in 1769 by Antonio Bianchi from Brennio. In this area, some rustic-manorial houses can be admired, due to the presence of some rural noble families, such as Zanini, Rizzi, Fedrizzi, and Dalla Brida.
Castelletto and the Masi di Vigo
In the hamlet of Castelletto, the ruins of the church of S. Margherita can be admired, with some traces of frescoes on a stone of the door, and the scanty traces of the original Tono castle, dating back to the XII century. At the foot of the hill, objects from the Bronze Age, many tombs, and Roman coins have been found. Finally, the Masi di Vigo, for which the road originally named Masi di S. Sebastiano, constitute one of the natural beauties of the area.
