Terzolas

Welcome to Terzolas, a gem in the province of Trento!

If you are looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature, Terzolas is the perfect destination. This picturesque town, with just over 600 inhabitants, is located in the province of Trento and is surrounded by the mountains of the Adamello-Brenta group. Despite its small size, Terzolas surprises us with the beauty of its monuments and places of interest.

Monuments and places of interest

Let's start with the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This religious building is part of the convent of the Capuchin Friars Minor and was built between 1894 and 1896. The church has a simple white façade, but the interior is rich in decorations and paintings inspired by the life of Saint Francis.

Another church worth visiting is the parish church of Terzolas, dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This church dates back to the thirteenth century but was rebuilt many times over the centuries. During the latest restoration, which took place between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the church acquired its current appearance, with a Baroque façade and a large bell tower.

Finally, we cannot forget to mention the Palazzo alla Torraccia, a noble building located in the upper part of the town. The palace dates back to the late sixteenth century and was probably built by the Malfatti family, a noble family that owned many properties in the area.

Terzolas, Trentino gem between nature and art.

Society

Demographic evolution

Although Terzolas is now a very small town, in the past it was a fairly important commercial and artisan center. Until about 1850, the town had almost 2000 inhabitants and there were many artisan shops. But then, with the arrival of industrialization, most of the population emigrated to larger cities in search of work.

Infrastructure and transport

Terzolas is very well connected with the surrounding towns thanks to the Trento-Malé-Mezzana Railway. The Terzolas station is located right in the center of the town and is served by trains that connect Trento to the Valleys of Sole and Non. In addition, the town is also crossed by several bus lines, which connect Terzolas with the various towns in the Val di Non.

Administration

If you need more information about the town of Terzolas, you can contact the Mayor's office or the city offices. The offices are open every day, except Saturday and Sunday, and the staff can provide you with all the information you need.
