Hi friends! Today, I want to talk to you about Flavon, a beautiful hamlet in Contà, in the province of Trento.

Physical geography

Situated between 356 and 1704 meters above sea level, Flavon has a territory that offers a splendid panoramic view, with a total altitude difference of 1348 meters.

History

Until December 31, 2015, Flavon was an autonomous municipality, bordered by the municipalities of Cunevo, Denno, Nanno, Terres and Tuenno, when it merged with Cunevo and Terres into the new municipality. The coat of arms of the former municipality of Flavon featured that of the Flavon counts and the banner was a blue flag with a yellow stripe.

Monuments and places of interest

The Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist in Contà is the main point of interest in the hamlet.

Society

With a population of 532 inhabitants, Flavon had recorded a percentage variation of inhabitants of 4.31% compared to the census of 1991 in the 2001 census.

Economy

The hamlet has industrial, service and administrative activities that occupy 25.98% of the total population of the country.

Administration

After the merger with Cunevo and Terres, Flavon is now part of the new municipality.
