Settequerce: A Location Immersed in Nature
Hello everyone, today I want to talk to you about Settequerce, a small hamlet within the municipality of Terlano, located just a few kilometers from Bolzano, in the beautiful Autonomous Province of Bolzano. The locality has 844 inhabitants and is situated at 247 meters above sea level, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards along the Adige river.
Origin of the Name
The name Settequerce comes from the German word "Siebeneich" which means "near the seven oaks". The place name has been around for a long time, dating back as far as the 12th century.

Settequerce is considered a prominent archaeological site, thanks to the significant number of discoveries from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. The area between S. Maurizio and Settequerce is called the "Heiliger Winkel", which means "sacred corner".
