A city with ancient origins

The origins of Telese Terme can be traced back to the Roman city of Telesia, which became an ally of Rome in 215 B.C. In the 10th century, a Cathedral was built outside the walls of Telesia, in the area where Telese Terme stands today. The earthquake of 1349 completely destroyed Telesia, and the town had to face the difficult situation of living in areas affected by mofete, toxic gases resulting from the earthquake. Due to these difficulties, the bishops and the population moved to other places.

The thermal baths of Telese

The thermal baths of Telese are famous for their therapeutic properties, thanks to the presence of sulphurous water and the treatment of respiratory and osteoarticular diseases. Furthermore, Telese Terme was chosen as the headquarters of the Italian Olympic Committee for the athletic preparation of the participants in the Rome Olympics of 1960. Thanks to these characteristics, Telese Terme represents an ideal destination for those seeking physical and mental well-being.

Conclusions

Telese Terme is an ancient city with deep historical roots. Its central location in the Telesina valley, the presence of natural parks and thermal waters are only some of the reasons why you should visit this wonderful city. Come and discover Telese Terme and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of Campania!
