Later, it became an imperial fiefdom and County of Tassarolo and was the property of the Duchy of Mantua. Finally, in 1736, it passed under the rule of the House of Savoy.

Patronal Feast and Other Events

Tassarolo is a very religious town and the main celebration of the town is the feast of San Rocco on August 16. There are religious celebrations and food festivals in the days leading up to or following it, where you can taste ravioli, tagliatelle, and other typical local specialties. Another important event is the patronal feast of the Madonnina of Sant'Ambrogio, which takes place every second Sunday of September.

Land of Nibiò

Tassarolo is famous for the production of the ancient variety of Dolcetto grape, called Nibiò. The "Land of Nibiò" association was created precisely to revalue this production and promote it in the territory.

Soccer

The most popular sport in Tassarolo is undoubtedly soccer. The most important sports club is A.S.D. Tassarolo, which plays in the provincial championship of the Second Category (Group R). In the 2017-2018 season, Tassarolo won the Second Category championship, reaching the First Category for the first time in its history.
