Church of San Martino

The Church of San Martino is the main place of worship in the village of Sueglio. It dates back to the 14th century, but over the centuries, the church has undergone numerous transformations, the last of which dates back to 1860. Inside, the church houses a series of paintings funded by donations from Sueglio emigrants, including a Madonna del Carmine (1659) and a Madonna del Rosario (1627). The main altar is made of wood and dates back to 1660, while the pulpit is from 1687, the work of the Fantoni family. The bell tower, built between 1697 and 1705, is equipped with an astronomical clock, installed in 1707.

Church of San Bernardino

Originally dedicated to the Madonna of the snow, the Church of San Bernardino dates back to the 16th century, but has been renovated several times over time. During the restoration of 1967, a coin from the 11th century was brought to light. Inside the church, you can admire a wooden late-sixteenth-century altar and a rare statue of San Sfirio.

Sueglio preserves some baroque-style houses. In addition, at the Roccoli of Artesso, some architectural works are part of the Northern Frontier.
