Geography
San Vito is located in the northwest of the Spilamberto municipality, just 4.34 kilometers from the capital. It is crossed by the Guerro stream and is less than 4 km away from Castelnuovo Rangone.
Places of interest
In the heart of the village stands the church of San Vito Martire, which has ancient origins. It is mentioned in a document from the Capitular Archive of Modena dating back to 1186, and until 1628, the church of San Giovanni di Spilamberto was subordinate to it. Over the years, it has undergone several renovations and was completely restored by Giuseppe Tubini in 1938. Do not miss the ancient pipe organ and the baptistery chapel with its beautiful marble basin and a scagliola altarpiece.
Infrastructure and transport
San Vito is well connected with the municipal capital and Castelnuovo through several roads, while to reach Vignola, it is necessary to travel on minor roads. Modena can instead be reached through the State Road 623 of Passo Brasa and via Medicine. If you want to visit San Vito, you can take the 731 bus line of the Emiliana Trasporti Autofiloviari Society, which connects the village with Modena and Vignola.

If you are a football enthusiast, you may be interested in getting to know the Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica San Vito, the local sports club founded in 1969, which has a football team. The team plays in the third Modenese category and plays home games at the "Comunale" stadium on via Paolo Ferrari.
