San Martino di Castrozza is a small village located in the autonomous province of Trento, part of the greater municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. History

San Martino di Castrozza owes its origin to an ancient religious institution, the Hospice of Saints Martin and Julian. Later, in 1873, the first tourist structure was built on the proposal of the Irish mountaineer John Ball. Since then, San Martino di Castrozza has become a renowned tourist destination, frequented by the good society of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
