Sessano del Molise is an Italian municipality in the province of Isernia, located in the Molise region. This small town has a population of only 663 inhabitants, but it has a great history and several monuments of interest.

History

Sessano del Molise was founded in medieval times and was ruled by several noble families, including the Centra, the Counts of Capua and the D'Aquino. In 1806, the small municipality became part of the Kingdom of Naples and later of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

The coat of arms of the municipality was recognized by decree of the head of government on February 13, 1928, while the banner was granted by D.P.R. on November 8, 1991.
