Sequals: a small Friulian municipality
Sequals is a small municipality located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, in the former province of Pordenone. With a population of 2149 inhabitants, Sequals is characterized by the presence of moraine hills, enclosed between the Meduna and Cosa streams. The municipality is known for being the birthplace of the famous boxer Primo Carnera, world boxing champion, whose house has been transformed into a museum.

In 1976, Sequals was devastated by the Friuli earthquake, which caused enormous collapses and damages in the area.

The coat of arms and flag of Sequals were granted by decree of the President of the Republic on June 18, 1952. The flag is a blue cloth with a white wavy band.

Sequals is rich in very interesting religious and civil architectures. Sequals has no twinning agreements with other municipalities, but is part of the UTI of the Valli and Dolomiti Friulane and was part of the former province of Pordenone.
