A small town with a long history

Senis, a municipality located in the province of Oristano in Sardinia, is a small town with a rich history. Its area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, making it a treasure trove of archaeological evidence from the Nuragic and Roman periods. During the Middle Ages, the town was part of the Giudicato di Arborea and was protected by a castle until the 13th century. In 1420, it came under the rule of the Crown of Aragon and became a barony with several lords and barons who ruled the territory. In 1839, the municipality was redeemed from the Nin Zatrillas, the last feudal lords, with the suppression of the feudal system.
