Physical geography
The province of Brescia is the largest in Lombardy, with an area of over 4,700 km². It contains 205 municipalities, with a population density of about 264 inhabitants per km². The province borders several other provinces, including Sondrio, Bergamo, Cremona, Mantua, Verona, and Trento.
One of the main features of the province of Brescia is the presence of three large lakes: Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, and Lake Idro. In addition to these, there are also other smaller mountain lakes that make the landscape very diverse. The valleys

In addition to the valleys, the province of Brescia also offers a large flat area south of the city's territory, known as Bassa Bresciana. Here we find fields and vineyards that produce the renowned Franciacorta wine. Furthermore, there are numerous hills that surround the city's skyline and extend towards the Province of Verona and west towards Franciacorta.

The terrain of the province of Brescia is very varied and often of limestone origin. Thanks to its vast territorial expanse, geomorphology and geology differ from valley to valley. In most cases, it is possible to recognize different characteristics of the rock walls within the same basin.
