Sèligas, as it is called in Sardinian, has a population of 1321 inhabitants and is located in the Trexenta area, in the province of South Sardinia. History of Selegas: between judges and feudal lords

During the Middle Ages, Selegas was part of the Giudicato of Cagliari and the curatoria of Trexenta. In 1258, with the fall of the judicature, the town passed to the Giudicato of Arborea and then became a fief of the Visconti of Pisa in 1295. In 1324 it was conquered by the Aragonese along with other centers of Trexenta and Gippi. In 1497 it became part of the county of Villasor and in 1594 it was turned into a marquisate. In 1703, the fief was donated to the Da Silva - Alagon family and was redeemed in 1839 with the abolition of the feudal system.
