The town had the pleasure of seeing two important figures born there who made a mark on the Italian and world scene: Primo Nebiolo and Piero Dusio. The first was president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (World Athletics Federation) from 1981 until his death in 1999. The second was an industrialist who, among other things, was also president of Juventus football club during the years of the Second World War, and founder of Cisitalia, whose cars were driven by Tazio Nuvolari.
Symbols
The emblem and flag of the municipality represent the typical products of the area: the cluster of grapes and the chestnut hedgehog. The stars symbolize the nuclei that make up the current administrative district, while the yellow flag highlights its colors.
Honors
The Municipality of Scurzolengo was awarded the Bronze Medal of Military Valor for the sacrifices of its people and for its activity in the partisan struggle during World War II.
