History
The history of Sauze di Cesana dates back to the sixteenth century and, over the centuries, has experienced multiple changes. In 1928, the municipality of Sauze was merged with Cesana Torinese and then became part of the new municipality of Sestriere in 1934. Only after the end of fascism, Sauze regained its autonomy.
Monuments and places of interest
Despite its small size, Sauze di Cesana is rich in natural beauty and monuments. Among these, I recommend visiting the parish church of San Restituto, dating back to the eighteenth century, and the Argentera Valley, one of the most pristine parts of the Cozie Alps.

Sauze di Cesana has only 244 inhabitants, but has also been home to foreign residents, such as the 9 people who settled here in 2009, mainly from Romania.
