Physical Geography
Sant'Antimo is a municipality that is located 67 m above sea level, 16 km away from the center of Naples. It is a border area between the province of Caserta and the Aversano countryside and extends between the Strada Statale 7 bis di Terra di Lavoro (east) and the Napoli-Foggia railway line (west). The town of Sant'Antimo is quite compact and expands radially.

Climate
The climate of Sant'Antimo is warm and temperate, characterized by many rains in winter and few in summer. According to the Köppen and Geiger classification, the climate of Sant'Antimo is classified as "Csa". The average annual temperature of Sant'Antimo is 15.5 °C and the average annual rainfall is 911 mm. July is the driest month, with only 22 mm of rainfall, while November is the rainiest, with an average of 142 mm. August is the warmest month of the year, with an average temperature of 23.5 °C, while January is the coldest month, with an average of 8.3 °C.
History of Sant'Antimo
In Sant'Antimo, the presence of a settlement was already found in the 4th-3rd century BC, thanks to the discovery of numerous groups from the Oscan-Sannite period within its territorial boundaries. In antiquity, it was forbidden to bury the dead inside the urban center, so their bodies were buried along the external road network near the city. Pre-Roman tombs have been discovered in the northern strip of the territory of Sant'Antimo, from the railway station in Friano-Ponte Mezzotta. Other findings have been found along the Statale 7bis, particularly in the locality "Bosco di Capezza", while in the locality "Terra Grande" and along the provincial road Casandrino-Colonne di Giugliano in Campania, nuclei of tombs of great archaeological interest have been discovered.
