Feudal Domination
Despite always being under Pontifical rule, only the fraction of Pastene was given in fief to Luigi Memmoli in 1633 and then transferred to Capasso di Benevento.
Symbols
The official emblem of the Municipality consists of two green mountains and the Archangel Michael hovering on a blue background. The external ornament consists of two branches, one of oak with acorns and one of laurel with berries, all natural, knotted by a green, white and red ribbon. The banner is a blue cloth with the above-mentioned emblem.

Religious Architecture
The Convent of the Liguorini, built in 1775, is the largest monument in the Municipality. Initially used as a novitiate and student residence, it now houses a nursing home for the elderly. The Church of the Saints Angelo and Leonardo, dating back to 1754, has been restored and contains frescoes by Liborius Pizzella and a canvas depicting the Madonna of the Milk.
