History

Sant'Alessio con Vialone is an ancient village that dates back at least to the 12th century when it was known as ''Sancto Alexjo''. The village belonged to the noble family of Canepanova di Pavia, but it was taken from them in the 14th century by the Beccaria, who turned it into a fiefdom. Later, the village was annexed to other nearby ones, including the fractions of Lossano and Guardabiate. In the 19th century, Sant'Alessio con Vialone became part of the municipality of Lardirago but regained its autonomy in 1947.
