History of Sanfront

Sanfront has a long and interesting history: dating back to Roman times, it was later ruled by the feudal lords of the Sanfront dynasty, originally of Occitan language.

During the fascist regime, the name of the town was Italianized to "Sanfronte", but already in 1951 it returned to its original denomination.
