Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about the Municipality of San Zenone al Lambro, a small town in Lombardy, where 4465 inhabitants live.
History
San Zenone is an ancient agricultural locality located in the metropolitan city of Milan area, but historically part of the Lodi territory. In 1809-1816, the municipality of San Zenone incorporated Santa Maria in Prato, but it became autonomous with the establishment of the Lombardo-Veneto Kingdom. In 1863, San Zenone took the new name of "San Zenone al Lambro" to differentiate from other places with the same name, and finally, in 1870, Santa Maria in Prato was definitively aggregated to the municipality. Although San Zenone al Lambro has historical ties to the province of Lodi, when it was established in 1992, the municipality chose not to be part of it and remained in the province of Milan.
