San Vero Milis
C.)
During the Roman period, the area was crossed by a military road that connected the island from the East of Sardinia and touched the main burgs of the interior. During this period, the town was frequented by shepherds and farmers, whose activities contributed to the economic development of the area.
In 1019, San Vero Milis, along with other communities in the area, was donated by Emperor Otto III to the church of Santa Maria in Bonarcado.
Over the centuries, the town suffered the domination of Spain and Piedmont, bearing the taxes and exactions imposed by various authorities.
With the advent of the Kingdom of Italy, the town experienced a period of rapid economic development thanks to agriculture and wine production.
