Origins of the name

Have you ever wondered where the name Feletto comes from? Well, it seems that this toponym has a Latin origin, in fact it derives from the term ''filix'' which means fern. This is because the territory was very wooded and covered in ferns.

The history of the municipality

The history of San Pietro di Feletto probably began around the 7th/8th century, when the church of San Pietro was built on the ruins of a pagan temple. Over time, this sacred place became the seat of a powerful pieve, whose jurisdiction extended over various territories, including Formeniga, Collalbrigo and Refrontolo.

Symbols of the municipality

In the coat of arms of the municipality we find the ancient Pieve of San Pietro di Feletto. The gonfalone, instead, is a white cloth.
