The Municipality of San Floriano del Collio

San Floriano del Collio, also known as Števerjan in Slovenian and San Florean dal Cuei in Friulian, is a municipality in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region with a population of 728 inhabitants. The municipality was abolished in 1928 but was re-established in 1951.

History

The town has an interesting history as it was abolished in 1928 and included in the municipality of San Martino, which was later transferred to Yugoslavia in 1947. After the establishment of the municipality of Capriva del Friuli, San Floriano del Collio was incorporated into the territory before finally being re-established as an independent municipality in 1951.
