Corigliano-Rossano covers an area of 346.56 km², making it a very large municipality for the region. The territory is located between the Sila and the Ionian Sea coast, in the eastern part of the Sibari plain. The area has a great geological variety, with rock, clay, and sand soils that give rise to very diversified flora. Among the trees present, olive and citrus trees stand out, but also pine can be seen in some areas near the coast.
Brief History of Corigliano-Rossano
The Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano was established after the consultative referendum of October 22, 2017, in which the citizens of Corigliano Calabro and Rossano voted in favor of the union. The first administrative elections were held in June 2019 and elected the mayor, Flavio Stasi.
