Roncone: A Small Mountain Village

If you're looking for a peaceful place away from city chaos, ## Roncone is the perfect destination for you! This mountain village is located in the high Valle del Chiese in the province of Trento and has about 1445 inhabitants. It's famous for its lake, a crystal clear body of water overlooking the village.

History

Until 2015, Roncone was an independent municipality before being merged with Bondo (Sella Giudicarie), Breguzzo, and Lardaro. Despite being a small mountain village, Roncone has a rich and interesting history. It has witnessed several historical events, such as the Napoleonic Wars, during which the local population had to defend itself against French invaders. After this period, Roncone remained relatively peaceful until the 20th century, when the village was bombed during World War II.

Despite its history, Roncone is a very peaceful and relaxing place. Among its monuments, you can admire the Church of Santo Stefano, dating back to the 15th century, and the Tower of the Germans, an isolated construction dating back probably to the 13th century. Even the Roncone lake, which reflects on the village's banks, is a popular tourist attraction during warm summer days.
