History
The municipality of Roncaro, also known as "Runcure" or "Runcore" in historical documents from the 12th century, was owned by various monasteries in Pavia, including that of the Church of San Tommaso. In 1475, Roncaro became part of the fiefdom of Vistarino, whose lord was the "Giorgi" family of Pavia. Later, the municipality became part of the "Campagna Sottana" of Pavia.
Society
Regarding demographic evolution, Roncaro has had a constant population growth. Over the years, the number of inhabitants has increased thanks to an expansion of the municipal territory and new development plans.
Administration
The municipality of Roncaro has seen several mayors in recent years: since 1995, many leaders have presided over the city council, promoting development policies and creating a welcoming and efficient environment for residents.
