In 760 AD, the Lombard king Desiderio donated the locality to the Monastery of Santa Giulia, which had an important influence on the life of the community in the following centuries. In the thirteenth century, however, the crisis of the monastery led to the birth of the first bourgeois Brescian families who took control of Roncadelle. In 1385, the municipality came under the jurisdiction of Brescia and in the fifteenth century, the Porcellaga family acquired uncontested power in the local territory, with the construction of important works such as the Castle and Seriola. In 1500, the church of San Bernardino da Siena was built to satisfy the population's need to organize their religious life.
