Roaschia has an ancient history rooted in the Middle Ages. The town only received its coat of arms in 2008, with a decree from the President of the Republic. The municipal banner is a white cloth with a blue border.

Roaschia is one of those towns that has experienced significant depopulation, especially in the last hundred years. In fact, the number of residents has decreased by 93% since 1911.

One of the most important events is the Interprovincial Fair of Roaschina Sheep, held on the third Sunday of May since 1994. This fair is dedicated to promoting local dairy products, such as Brus and Toma.
