HISTORY

The toponym Rivarone is of Celtic origin and means "great river". Throughout history, the town has been dominated by the Romans, Barbarians, and Lombards. But in the fifteenth century, it became very important thanks to its position, located between the city of Alessandria and the Duchy of Milan. In 1928, the town was suppressed as part of fascist mergers, but it was reconstituted in 1948.
