Revello is a small town in Piedmont, located in the province of Cuneo. With a population of 4,217 inhabitants, it is located in the beautiful Po Valley, just 10 km west of Saluzzo.

History
Revello is a small city with ancient charm that dates back to the late subalpine Middle Ages. Belonging to the ancient Marquisate of Saluzzo, Revello is mentioned in a register of "courts" dating back to the mid-tenth century. Several artifacts found in the area of the Chapel of S. Biagio suggest that Revello has Roman origins, which remained under the management of the questors of the "republic".
Historical events
Throughout history, Revello has undergone various vicissitudes. In 1548, after numerous conflicts involving the Marquisate, it fell into the hands of the French, only to be retaken by Carlo Emanuele I of Savoy in 1588. In 1642, after a series of conflicts between Savoy and France, the Castle of Revello was destroyed, losing all strategic and commercial importance.
Symbols
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Revello was officially recognized by a decree of the Head of Government and Prime Minister in 1933. The banner, on the other hand, was granted by the President of the Republic in 1982 and represents a Party (heraldry) standard of white and blue.

Abbey of Santa Maria di Staffarda
One of the most interesting places to visit in Revello is the Abbey of Santa Maria di Staffarda. Today owned by the Mauritian Order, it was founded by Cistercian monks on the flat lands near the Po River, donated by the Marquis of Saluzzo in 1135.
